Collect Them!
-2D Educational Game-

Collect Them! is a platform puzzle video game to increase the English level in primary education. It was developed by using Unity Engine. C# Language was utilized in creating the functional codes.

 

The player controls the game character named Aden to collect all of the objects into his box in the limited given time. The box will have a tag with verb text and it will update when the correct item is added to the box.

 

For example, if the tag on the box shows “drink”, then the player should find the object that can be drunk/related to the verb such as milk or a glass of water. Besides, all of the objects for each module are related to each module's environment.

 

This core concept of the game is inspired by the CEFR concept which is the latest standard of the primary school education system and a bit different from the traditional learning methods.

-Trip Planner Application-

For most of us, planning a travel itinerary is the first phase of the excitement that keeps us going. Even if the trip doesn't happen anytime soon, it will give you something to look forward to. However, it can also be overwhelming when it comes to putting everything together.

Our trip planner app can easily sync travel plans to your calendar. The function of the trip planner app is simple and clear, it’s used to organize all the essential details of the trip. It collects all bookings related to transportation and accommodation to form an itinerary.

This application was developed by using Android Studio and the programming language used was Java languages. This application also won the consolation prize in the UMP x Huawei Mobile App Hackathon contest.

McD Mockup Interface
-Aim in enhancing usability, functionality, and flexibility-

This project is to design a new user interface(UI) and develop a web-based application from the existing system that has issues in their management work or system design using Adobe XD. McDelivery's website is been chosen to improve its usability and flexibility of UI. 

Reasons to redesign:

1. Guide bar is not flexible.

When the users finish ordering and only realize that their addresses need to be edited, they have to clear their carts only able to continue the address editing step.

 

2. The system limits the users to track their home location by moving the Google map which is not accurate most of the time, especially for those who live in the countryside.

The standard interval for updating maps on Google Maps is 1-3 years. In some cases, updates occur sooner or later, depending on the location. Hence, the system should be flexible and allow the customer to add their address by themselves.

3.  Robustness of the system also can be improved by increasing the observability and responsiveness during the tracking of orders. For example, the users not only can see the time and date they placed an order but also show the time their orders are received and ready to send. A complete or refund button should be provided for users in order to guarantee their interest.

-3D Entertainment Game-

This game is a 3D-action Third-Person Shooter (TPS) adventure survival game that is being developed by using Unity 3D.

 

This game is an entertainment game.  It will be developed on the PC platform. It is designed for players who are 12 years old and above. The purpose of developing this game is to enhance players' cognitive abilities and for entertainment purposes.

According to the American Psychological Association, people who played FPS or TPS games showed faster and more accurate attention allocation, higher spatial resolution in visual processing and also significantly improved mental rotation abilities. This is because the players will be tasked with multiple objectives rather than just killing enemies.

Wood Furniture Assembly Guide AR Application
-Augmented Reality App-

Augmented Reality (AR) is an innovative new technology that is improving and simplifying our daily lives. However, there are currently no AR-enabled furniture assembly guides for the users to easily assemble their furniture without needing to pay the retail store for the extra assembly service fee.

 

Therefore, our team decided to develop an application that helps customers better assemble furniture. The application we developed has included clear and detailed instructions and steps for users to assemble the furniture themselves.

 

This application is developed by using Unity while the 3D models and animation of furniture will be created using Maya Autodesk. The coding for zoom in/out, rotate, and music features are all code by C# programming language.
